Quake 4 Mods - Delta CTF 1.0 Released

Delta Ctf NewsThe Angry Porcupine development team is pleased to announce the 1.0 release of the long awaited Delta Ctf mod. I have been privileged to observe the team working from inside and I have to tell you I have been very impressed with the professionalism and dedication of everyone involved. The results speak for themselves...

Most of the team hails from a Q2ctf background and the aesthetics and feel of the game amply demonstrate that from the first look. The mod features an on-hand grapple as the most obvious change. That coupled with the general feel and artwork of the maps, including Q2 remakes Nostalgica and Neurotica Returns, the traditional runes, and red vs blue teams, really bring the Q2ctf feel up to date on the Q4 engine.

The team also worked long and hard on the feel of the movement. The increased acceleration and modified view height really help the game feel lightning quick and smooth. Combined with the already included crouch sliding and ramp jumping makes for the best of all possible worlds.

The first Delta CTF tournament will be held here on truecarnage.com on September 22-24. Keep your eyes peeled for more details.

If you have a previous version of Delta CTF installed, DELETE it first. Thanks!
