Must be a day for interesting news. Apparently, the CPL has decided to open the possibility of Q3 replacing Q4 for the '06 (maybe 07? I thought we were in '06?) season. I personally think that would be a huge step backwards, but I know the consensus may well be otherwise. The other point to consider is that we right on the cusp of the 1.3 patch. In my opinion it would be crazy to make that decision before the patch is out. Wouldn't it be ironic if the CPL switched to Q3 and the 1.3 Q4 patch rocked all of our worlds? That would be the major gaff of all time...but the CPL may be up to the challenge.
The CPL has received numerous comments about the possibility of using Quake 3 (versus Quake 4) during our 2006 World Season. While there are many factors to consider before committing to any changes, the CPL is seeking feedback from the community about which game it should use during its upcoming season.
