| Quake 4 Mods - Game Type Revolution v0.15 | |
 All of that aside, what this tells me is there is something lacking in Q4Max's CTF gameplay that is causing people to eye the grass on the other side of the fence.
That said, there is another mod out there that has not gotten the attention it deserves. Gametype Revolution was created by TTK-Bandit, one of the original coders of X-Battle. He left that team due to creative differences after v0.20 came out, which explains why GTR is heavily based on that version of X-Battle.
The main feature that CTF players should be interested in:
Cylindrical hitboxes
faster movement
greater acceleration
improved rocket jumping
If you would like to check it out, there is a GTR CTF server up and running at 209.160.66.71:28005. Autodownload is turned on. Required file list can be found here. Check it out and have fun!

Additionally, Veritas was able to create a video for all the non-believers,
all those who never tried Q4 and GTR and don't believe that you can have fun with it.
The potential of GTR is shown in this movie, but even more is possible.
