Quake 4 Mods - Q4Max 0.74 is released and compatible with Q4 1.2

Q4Max NewsQ4Max 0.74 is now available for download. Along with this update for the latest version of Q4, we've added several new features including:

* Coach mode, including a coach voicechat button
* Spectator locking
* Two layer custom crosshairs (including large sizes)
* Client-side hitscan tint selection
* Pause/timeout countin, and countdown clock


There are another 30 items in the changelog, so be sure to check out the wiki.

All that from Q4Max's site. The good news is the servers will be updated as soon as I am sure of all the changes. There are some changes for server cvars, including autodownload and I will need to be certain of any changes that need to be made to te configs prior to changing.


There is also a new version of X-Battle for those of you that need it. I am hosting a download for this mod as well for this version, as I do believe that its overlooked to some degree. Personally, I prefer Q4Max and the US community has supported this mod almost exclusively, but X-Battle does have its adherants in Europe.
