 - Draft tourney
Please read ALL of this, before signing up. If circumstances arise any rules/format below are subject to change at admin's discretion.
The tourney layout is as follows:
* Double elimination bracket style
* Eight captains will draft from a list of players.
* Signups are open to all players.
* The tourney will initially have 8 teams consisting of 7 players (including the captain). If more than 56 players sign up, admins might increase the number of players per team, or possibly the number of teams.
* All match dates have been pre-scheduled. For example: The first round of the tournament will start Sunday at 9est. The second round of the Upper Bracket, and the Lower Bracket's first round, will be Thursday at 9est. The third round of the Upper Bracket, and the Lower Bracket's second round, will be Sunday at 9est. Match times are flexible in that if BOTH TEAMS AGREE, the match may occur on the designated days (Thursday and Sunday) between 8est and 10est. If you're unable to be available at these times, do not sign up!
* Each round of the tournament will have three official maps, with the exception of the Upper Bracket, Lower Bracket, and Championship finals. For the finals, the two team captains will select their team's map from a list consisting of all official tourney maps. To determine the Tie-Breaker map, each team will toss from the map list until one map remains. To decide who gets last toss, captains will send one player to the middle to pummel. Winner will get last toss. =)
* If a player on a team shows up to his/her match and wishes to play, the team captain must use them at least one of the first two maps (at his/her discretion). This rule does not apply in the Upper Bracket finals, Lower Bracket finals, or Championship finals.
* All players must sign up with their most common alias. Failure to do so will result in a ban from the tourney.
* Match format is 4v4. Teams will be allowed to play 5v5 if both have 5 of their roster show up, and BOTH captains agree to play this format. In addition, if one team only has 3players show up, they WILL be allowed to play 3v4, and if other captain agrees, they can play 3v3. Any less then 3 players, and it's a forfeit.
* If a player does not show up for 2 matches in a row, at captains and/or admins decision, that player will be replaced from a player in the backup pool.
* Also, signups will continue forth after the list is finalized. Anyone signing up after will be automatically added to the backup pool of players.
* To determine who is chosen from the backpool to replace the players, the first credential will be skill level. Players with similar skill level will replace those who have dropped out. After skill level it will go to order signed up. So in essence, you want to be signed up as soon as possible.
* If it wasn't already assumed. This is a first come first serve tournament. Assuming you confirm your signup.
Signups will start sometime next week (beginning Monday, June 9th). This tourney is intended to be fun for people of all skill levels, so tell your friends!
