Season 2 Ends with a Whimper

Site NewsFirst of all, I apologize for not being around at the end of the season. Real Life sprang up and pwned me. What can I say? It happens. I would also like to thank cdogg and dradik for stepping up and getting the season finished, even it we weren't able to do it like we wanted in the beginning.

Kudos to those teams that finished the season all the way to the end. As it turned out, uP and -i were not able to meet the scheduling for the playoffs in Div 1 and LQ was unable to finish in Div 2. Who knows what would have happened if everything had played out differently and all the games would have been played? Speaking for myself my money still would have been on kick.us in Div 1. Why? kick.us (RAGE) has been around and consistently playing since day 1 of Quake 4 and before. Most of them played in a team called Bnegative in Quake 3. That type of longevity is rare in any game but it's especially rare in Quake CTF. It's going to take a lot of effort for any team to match their success in Quake 4.

The bottom line is that it's damn hard to keep a team together and playing for long. I would say that this season has been proof positive of that statement.

In any case, congrats again to kick.us (RAGE) for another excellent season. Also, congratulations to PornStars for sticking it out and finishing the season.
