Since only a few people seem to be picking up on a very important part of yesterdays Q4Max press release I thought I would help clear it up.
Kaffeedoktor, one of the main developers of the XBM team has left that organization and joined the Q4Max team. When I got a chance to talk to AnthonyJ from Q4Max they were obviously very happy to add someone of kaffeedoktor's proven ability to the team. AJ said it should allow the releases from Q4Max to come even quicker with more features in each release.
When I spoke to kaffeedoktor about the change he commented that "I am just sick of developing things twice - imagine AJ has done feature x, people request feature x in XBM too." He also pointed out that he and AJ had worked together on DeltaCTF and "decided to work together on Q4Max too". Kaffeedoktor said that he believes that "we can speed up the development and avoid unneeded double developing of features. We considered this best for the community."
I am still waiting for a reply from Champi clearing up how this will effect development of XBM.
